Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been working like CRAZY over the Christmas season and only now do I finally find myself with some free time.
So I got this idea from the YouTube beauty community, from beauty guru strawberryelectric48.
Face:
Firstly, I've got a foundation that was featured in my November favourites, which is none other than the Revlon ColorStay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin. Starting in about March, I found my skin getting progressively worse (I never used to wear foundation on an everyday basis) and decided to try out this foundation. Not only is it a medium to full coverage foundation, which hides all my blemishes and hyper-pigmentation, I feel like it actually stops me from breaking out. This foundation has SPF 6 in it, which is only a problem when wearing this foundation in photos.

The next face product I loved throughout the year is the Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder. I've got mine in the darkest shade "darkest brown". It's basically just a pressed powder foundation which is highly comparable to MAC's Studio Fix Powder. I've gotten lots of use out of it this year, as you can tell cos I've hit pan (It's lasted me AGES though!). It's great over liquid foundation to matte-ify it or even over just concealer to even out your skin tone and cover any imperfections.

Third is MAC's bronzing powder in "Bronze". It's just a nice bronzer with tiny flecks of shimmer, which I use in my everyday make up routine to contour my cheekbones. Although, I wouldn't call it the ideal powder for contouring, it seems to do the job. You can also use it all over your cheeks, and the shimmer will help to bring light to your cheekbones, and giving you a lovely bronze glow.

Eyes:
So, for eye products, I picked two mascaras. Now, I'm a massive mascara junkie and am always looking for cheap mascaras that do wonders for my short, straight lashes and Maybelline New York's One By One Volum' Express mascara does just that. It's lengthening and volumising and holds a curl well. It's great as an everyday mascara, just improving my lashes in a subtle way.
($19.25 AUD from Priceline)
Next is Benefit's They're Real! mascara. There's just something about this mascara that sets it apart from other mascaras that I use. At first I didn't find it that great, and it didn't seem to lengthen my lashes very well and left them incredibly clumpy. After a while I realised just how incredible it is. It does take a bit of effort to make it work, but it leaves you with wonderfully curled, lengthened and volumised lashes. It has incredible lasting power and doesn't smudge or flake at all. I'd definitely recommend this!

Lips:
This product has been an absolute saviour for my lips this year. It's Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Butter in "Dark chocolate & Peppermint". Now, I've got to say just how AMAZING this smells. It's, as the name suggests, a chocolatey scene with a hint of peppermint. It's super moisturising and this little tube will last you forever. I purchased my first tube at the end of 2011 and with regular use, I'm still now only on my second tube. It's easily one of my favourite lip balms of all time.
($4.79 AUD from Priceline)
The Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters were RAVED about in the beauty community when they first came out this year, and it definitely lives up to the hype. It's a mix between a balm and lipstick. It's very moisturising for a product with such a great colour pay-off. I've got mine in Candy Apple and Peach Parfait and they're both gorgeous colours with a nice glossy finish.
($21.95 AUD from Priceline)
Nails:
I have two nails products that I've just loved this year. First up is Essie's Mint Candy Apple. It's a gorgeous baby pastel blue/green. It's great on your nails during the warmer mouths for a nice subtle pop of colour.
(RRP $18.95 AUD)
The next product I've loved is BYS's Rebel Red. This colour is super crazy cheap and is the only colour I've had on my toe nails all year. It's a great consistency and easy to apply. The colour is a nice red, bit more on the coral side, but still a nice rich red.
(RRP $4 AUD)
Hair:
This product I actually ran out of a few weeks ago, so I don't have the bottle any more to show you a photo of my personal one but it's Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil. I've got long, thick, ombré hair, so it gets damaged pretty easily. This product has been a saviour for me, keeping my hair nice, soft and healthy. I've found it feeling very dry the minute I stop using this product, so I love it. Although, one drawback is that it's quite expensive, so I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative for this.
($24.99 AUD from Priceline)
My hair gets pretty oily fairly soon, so I always need a good dry shampoo. This year, I've loved Toni & Guy's dry shampoo from their Cleanse collection. It has a nice fresh smell and it does a great job of keeping 2nd day hair looking fresh and clean. I use this almost every day and it's a miracle product. I have dark hair and I don't find the white powder to be a problem at all, as long as you work it in properly and brush it out.
($15.99 AUD from Priceline)
Palette:
Finally, I have my favourite palette of the year, and could it be anything else other than Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette. I use this everyday and it always has the colours I need. I don't really rate the brush that comes with it, but that's fine. The shadows are nice and creamy with a great colour pay-off and all the colours in the palette compliment each other so well. It has colours for every occassion, whether an every day look, or a night out.
($52.96 AUD from Beauty Bay)
